Spirit of America is looking for a
skilled marketing manager to oversee the development and execution of its
website, social media, and digital content strategies. A strong applicant will
have knowledge in managing all facets of content generation, expanding social
media presences, managing websites, and interacting with donor audiences. You
should feel as as ease using data and insights as you do while telling a good
tale. The Director of Communications reports to the Marketing Manager for
Digital Content and Engagement, who will join a high-performing team that is
strengthening Spirit of America's position and brand during a time of fast organizational
expansion.
Important
Duties:
- Leading content strategy, goals, calendaring, and creation for digital content. aids in the creation, writing, editing, and design of digital material that increases donor base, income, and donor loyalty. includes using multimedia tools and project management by an agency.
- Manages all aspect of social media, including the development and rollout of paid and organic media campaigns across platforms.
- Website - Controls the functionality and content of the website. establishing and maintaining fundraising pages. enhances the user experience.
- Analytics: In charge of overseeing reporting, analysis, and optimization suggestions related to digital analytics.
- Marketing best practises and trends - Keeps abreast of current global events and digital marketing trends that are important to Spirit of America's work.
- Digital asset management - Chooses project and stock photographs and keeps the multimedia library of the organisation.
- Donor communications: Supports crucial fundraising initiatives including emails and year-end campaigns, like Giving Tuesday.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree is necessary, as well as at least five years of relevant professional experience in marketing and communications, including a mix of website management, social media influencer marketing, organic and sponsored social media marketing, and digital content development.
- Strong written and visual storytelling abilities, including the capacity to modify tone and style for various platforms and audiences.
- Expertise building both organic and paid campaigns, managing social media audiences and platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn), evaluating metrics and data, and administering an organization's WordPress website. For outsourced technical support and development, management of web suppliers is preferred.
- Good project management abilities, a keen eye for detail, and the capacity to work on several projects at once.
- The capacity to record and produce high-quality video and material using a camera. The ability to edit videos using video editing tools like iMovie and creative applications like Adobe Photoshop, Canva, or InDesign is a bonus.
- Capacity to generate data-driven insights and optimizations and strong working knowledge of Google Analytics
- Able to perform well in a setting that values collaboration
