POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This post will offer the
Corporate Sustainability Team of Cogeco tactical support. The job entails
managing, analyzing, and reporting environmental, social, and governance (ESG)
data across North America; completing deliverables under the team's climate
work plan, ESG reporting plan, and stakeholder engagement and communication
plan; and supporting the creation of a corporate culture that places an
emphasis on managing our top ESG risks and opportunities.
Important Duties:
• Assist in drafting responses to
the Carbon Disclosure Project on behalf of the sustainability team (CDP).
• Assist the team with the
gathering of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data, analysis of our
ESG performance, and needs for internal and external reporting.
• Assist the team with a commuter
survey of the workforce.
• Assist in the creation or
amendment of policies and procedures with the Sustainability team.
• Encourage the inclusion of the
results of the materiality assessment in Cogeco's risk management and strategy
programme.
• Keep an eye on industry best
practises in the media and telecoms sectors to spot areas that could want
improvement.
• Assist in the creation of
sustainability training in accordance with the team's plan for communicating
with and engaging stakeholders.
• Encourage presentation curating
for meetings.
• As demands for sustainability
surface, support them.
Essential Requirements:
Academic instruction
• Enrolled in a sustainable
development post-graduate programme right now.
Experience at Work
• Not necessary
STRENGTHS:
• Expertise of Corporate
Sustainability programme development and management.
• The ecosystem for ESG ratings,
including S&P, ISS, MSCI, Corporate Knights, UN Global Compact, Refinitiv,
and others.
• Knowledge of the GRI, TCFD, and
SASB frameworks.
• Knowledge of GHG emission
calculation techniques (e.g. GHG Protocol).
PARTICULAR COMPETENCIES:
• Ability to assess data and
trends.
• Proficient English
communication abilities, both written and spoken.
• Reading and writing proficiency
in French is seen as advantageous.
